The story revolves around the two brothers, Amarendra Baahubali (Prabhas) and Bhallaladeva (Rana Daggubati), who are both vying for the throne of Mahishmati. The first film, "Baahubali: The Beginning," explores the journey of Shivudu (also played by Prabhas), a young man living in a remote village, who discovers his true identity as Amarendra Baahubali and learns about his past. Shivudu also falls in love with a warrior princess named Avantika (Tamannaah Bhatia).
Through a series of events, Amarendra Baahubali is chosen as the new king of Mahishmati, much to the dismay of Bhallaladeva and his father, King Bijjaladeva (Nasser). Jealous and power-hungry, Bhallaladeva conspires against his brother, eventually leading to Amarendra Baahubali's tragic death.
The second film, "Baahubali: The Conclusion," focuses on the quest for revenge by Amarendra's son, Mahendra Baahubali (also played by Prabhas), who is unaware of his true heritage. With the help of his loyal friends, Kattappa (Sathyaraj) and Avantika, Mahendra Baahubali aims to reclaim his kingdom, overthrow Bhallaladeva, and avenge his father's death.
The film explores the grandeur of the Mahishmati kingdom, its royal lineage, and the epic battles fought between the forces of good and evil. It also delves into the intricate political machinations and personal relationships that shape the destiny of the kingdom.
The "Baahubali" franchise is known for its larger-than-life action sequences, breathtaking visual effects, and a compelling storyline that captures the imagination of audiences. It has received critical acclaim and became a massive commercial success, not only in India but also globally, propelling the lead actor Prabhas and director S.S. Rajamouli to new heights of fame.
